Sandboxie Plus is an upgraded version of Sandboxie that enables users to run programs in an isolated environment on their computers. This isolation prevents programs from interacting with the rest of the operating system, providing protection against viruses and spyware. Additionally, any programs installed within the sandbox will not leave behind any unnecessary files when uninstalled. Compared to the Classic version, Sandboxie Plus features a more modern interface and additional capabilities. Users can easily back up and restore sandboxes, run the program in portable mode, lock Windows components, and close all processes with a command. The new features can be accessed through the user-friendly interface, unlike the Classic version where modifications were made through the .ini file. When a program is running in Sandboxie Plus, a yellow box indicates its isolation from the rest of the system. Programs installed in the sandbox are saved in the C:/Sandbox directory, allowing for easy deletion by removing the sandbox. This ensures that no traces are left on the computer after running programs in Sandboxie Plus.
